That is awesome. You have to get your moneys worth, damn things are expensive! I have had a couple of tires look like that. One was at Savannah! Keep up the good work!

it looks like lock up and flat spotting instead of running tire to cording you could do that with new tires if your a wanker

it was a case of going out on the track with tires that were not only heat cycled but treads barely showing the tread left was so thin...

If you've ever been silly enough to take a run on a session of tires that close to cords, you'd understand that even the slightest bit of braking means no grip and what little is left of the tires goes away instantly to 'flat spot'

I don't flat spot tires as a normal part of driving (I'd never be able to afford racing if I was that stupid).

This season I've corded a set of R6s and a set of Z214s! But Chris, you have beat me. Those are awesome and I'm glad you survived. BTW, I finished my last race with two R6's on the front and 2 Z211's on the rear. All I had left!

nice... I still wish I could have lasted the whole hour but oh well.. it was fun while it lasted..

..interesting to see how much you can trod along on bad tires though and how clear the data is when the laps get REALLY bad.. .lol

piranhas!

Cause they bite you when you change the tires. Blow outs are a lot worse, much more vicious.

I actually had a very undramatic blowout with an Avon TechRA tire! Those darn things are so freakin stiff on the side walls that it behaved better than a runflat all things considered. BUT those Avons are a bitch to mount and dismount so it didn't really surprise me!
