I have a 1991 Sentra SE-R with the 10:1 Sr20de with DET cams (they were free so i threw them in while the motor wasnt in yet) . I am thinking about boosting my car but dont want to take this motor out since i just put it in 3 weeks ago. One of my buddys has a avenir motor and after talking to him he only recommended putting like 7lbs on it at most. whats the most amount of boost i would be able to put on this motor since its the high compression motor?

You dont need to pull the motor to turbo it just pull the rad. and exhaust manny(duh) to drill the oil return. I have done over 20 de+t kits on cars and it only takes a few hours to do.

my above young son is correct! im running a 10:1 with tomei cams, ported head and nismo gasket and i know for a fact you can do over 7lbs....seeing as im doing 9lbs now. in a few weeks me and the mad scientist above me are ganna dyno tune on 12lbs. as long as you keeo your AFR correct and proper, that 10:1 can handle whatever you throw at it pretty much....ive researched!!!

Like they said, watch your A/F and EGT and use good fuel. And get a good tune.

I am currently rebuilding my DET with forged 10.5:1 pistons and I hope to run 12-15 psi with a GT28R. Granted, I use only E85 which is just amazing gas, but even with 93 if you're smart about it you can hit pretty solid numbers.

Because everyone starts out not knowing anything in this game. Plus I'm not an A hole that tells everyone to search(I found that most of the ppl that are search notzis are like that to save face because they dont know anything). Why post telling him to just search ....you wasted his and your time. BUT yes some ppl need lessons on searching to keep the threads from all being the same ?s( hey can I turbo me sr20...... NO it can't be done now crawl under a rock). You get my drift....I hope.

I have found that the de+t set ups done on 10:1 motors are better then 9.5:1( I have had better luck/better hp #s now this is prob. dew to the fact that all the 10:1 are on the fresh side but still). I have run so many turbo set ups I can't see straight but one of my faves was my old 10:1 and t25. I went from a 150k usdm de with a t25 to a jdm(over night parts from japan..j/k) 10:1 motor with same setup. The car made 7whp more with the 10:1 now the coolest part was my trap speeds they went up almost 5mph from 103mph to 107.9mph. So boost that bad boy and enjoy it.

here just mess around with this, type in 10:1+boost just like your thread spend a couple hours(days) reading and then when all else goes wrong then post up some threads but most of EVERYTHING is in there!!
