: Stainless Steel Pacesetter Header

I'd never heard of it, people either buy the black painted or the armor coat, but I saw it at www.importperformanceparts.net for only $191. Is there a reason nobody is buying the stainless steel header? I was surprised it was cheaper than the armor coated one. TIA. By the way, check that site out. They had ACT clutches at pretty good prices it looked like and $55 short throw shifters, don't know how good they are, but worth a look.

I fixed the link, it wasn't working earlier, had the wrong extension on it. Maybe now I'll get a few replies. HINT! HINT! ;) ;)

I went and looked at the site since I am in need of a header and noticed that the SS one had 1/8" larger tubing and 1/4" larger collector. What's up with that?

are you sure its a pacesetter? i doubt it because the other headers were listed as...
PaceSetter Steel Headers for Cars
and
PaceSetter Steel Headers for Trucks

the ss header...
KOM'BAT Stainless Steel Headers for Cars
i think its probably a generic piece like those OBX headers. but then again, maybe you should call to make sure. The pacesetters are real cheap ***

They're discussing this same header in this thread: http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25174&perpage=20&pagenumber=2

I'm thinking I might order one if they're in stock, who knows how long before PS gets off their ass and does another production run.

does anyone else have a pic of the armor coat? thats what I ordered.. I expected the armor coat to look more like a ceramic coating, but it looks more like a stainless piece.. im not complaining ***.. it's nicer than I expected

Kom'Bat is a Pacesetter header.

OR I should say will be!

They are not produced yet. Atleast for the SR20DE. Pacesetter stated to me that someone leaked the price guide out to the dealers in error and that PS had not commited to producing them as soon as they had planned to. Hmm? Sound familiar.

Anyhow, they stated production will not start on these headers until the beginning of 2003.

All you had to do was call them and they would have told you. It's a toll free number too.

Guess I'll have to wait until next spring. I e-mailed that vendor that I mentioned and he confirmed that he didn't have the headers in stock and he didn't know if the price would change once they were produced and in stock next spring.
