Can anyone verify the Courtesy B Pipe for a B13 is indeed 2.5 inches from end to end?

Well, jim, the courtesy is made to be able to match up to a stock muffler section, so i am pretty sure that at the flange(right before it goes through the rear suspension) that it shrinks back down to factory diameter, but not sure since I havent measured mine.

Bruce, Although not 2.5 inches it appears to have the same diameter from one end to the other. Can you tell me if the diameter is bigger than the Greddy B pipe and if the Courtesy pipe will bolt up to a Greddy can?

Is it on a B13? Can you crawl underneath to verify that it doesn't neck down anywhere?

Jim, I've never seen Greddy stuff. I do know the Courtesy pipe and flange is larger than stock. That's all I can tell you.

I measured the Greddy B Pipe and the OD is just under 2 inches. It necks down to 2 inches just after the cat flange and remains at 2 inches for the whole length of the pipe.

Can you tell me what the OD is on the Courtesy unit before the resonator, after the resonator, between the resonator and the muffler etc.?

Most importantly can you tell me the part number of the B Pipe you currently have on the car?

Much appreciated.

Jim

I will let you know Monday.

I won't be home until late tonight and this weekend is allotted for a secret mission (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

we measured it before we put it on and the b pipe is 2.5 all the way through and yes it's for a b13

Thanks. I wonder if the seller of the unit I can buy has a B14 unit on his B13 cause he said it necks down to 50mm and I was told th4e B14's do that. Hmmm

Thanks again.

I think I remember this being a topic on the se-r list. If I remember right the Courtesy pipe and Greddy pipe won't match up because the Greddy b-pipe is shorter. However, the person who mentioned this drives a B14 so this might not apply to a B13. I guess you'll find out for us! ;)

Do a search on the se-r list archives for "Ric Courtesy b-pipe" to find this post. The direct link is http://www.se-r-list.org/archives/2001/2001-01/msg01601.html

As I noted in the other thread on this subject, my Courtesy B13 "B" pipe is of constant ID except for reduction from cat to pipe.
