Lately, I have had thoughts of selling my 99 White SE-L 5 speed with something else, but it just seems there is nothing else out there as fun to drive, cost next to nothing to own, and gets as good gas mileage as my trusty 99 SE-L.

My SE-L has the hyperco springs with the AGX struts, NX2K brakes, 15X7 enkei RP-F1 rims with 205/50/15 Falken azenis tires on it, and I have the 93 SE-R front seats in it as well.

Is anyone on this forum had the same thoughts as I have? I just don't know what would come close to it in terms of performance, the cost to own, and the great MPG I get. The closest thing I was thinking was a 2002-03 Mazda protege5 hatchback.

I get consistent 360+ miles on a tank of gas and regularly hit 390 in one tank. It has 127K on it and runs awesome. I wanted to get something with ABS as my wife and I have a 3 month old son now, and maybe a few more airbags.

Anyone have some thoughts?

i have a 98 ga16de 4 door. and i bearly drive it because i live in the city and cant find parking. i would sell it but its so cheap to run on gas and the perfect size car i will just keep it and let it collect dust. so i totally feel you on that. i would replace it with something like a sentra spec v mabye one day.

In term of safety for you kid, well, beside an SUV or Minivan. Heck, I have several 3 series BMW. They are safe, but too costly to run them. So, I also end up got the 98 SE 4drs. good on gas and reliable. If you are anal like Iam, weld a metal bar across the rear doors for protection of your baby.

I have a 2001 G20T as well! it doesn't get driven much and only has 57K miles on lt. I was thinking of selling it to get the money out of it before I put a lot of miles on it.

I am not sure, I was thinking about $5800 for the SE-L and spending about 5-6K on a car.

javcrodgz, I read your post again and did you mean my G20??? Oh, I haven't even thought about it but I would ask probably $8000 for it bone stock, I was quoting $5800 for my SE.

I just don't see many cars that I would want at the moment that I would want to spend money on.
