Confusion...need Help...
Ok....I really want an Se-R but am not sure in what condition I should purchase the SE-R in. I have found a couple but they are cheap and need help..money for maintaince takes away from mods so I dont know about that route. If i got this i would have to drop the DET in it but do I have 5K+ up front just for the swap?

Or my other choice is to buy an existing project car with a DET and spend close to 5k-6k and the car will prob. have more mods i.e. suspension, tires, brakes. I am not sure what i should do...and also I dont want a B14 i want a B13 I really just need the classic.

What am i todo?? I really want to go turbo..but I need the Classic first...should I hit two birds with one stone or just get the classic which needs help?

I am getting very tired of driving my car after I drove the Se-r..Current daily driver = 1.6L garbage that I started to mod then asked myself why?

I'd say find the classic with the cleanest body possible. Make sure the body and the interior is in good shape. As for all the other stuff..... well, once you start modding, there's no going back! And you'll be replacing old parts with new parts anyways.

If you currently have a B13, why don't you just swap a det in it?

I say find a nice classic with a good interior and exterior like my man up top said. Also, make sure there is no fifth gear popout, which was prevalent on the 91-93 se-r's and nx2k's i believe. Try to get the vin checked my carfax if possible. If your going to do an engine swap, then i wouldnt worry too much about the condition of the one in there. Unless you want to keep that engine and do all motor mods, then id say make sure everything is sound when taking it for a test drive. I wouldnt buy a car that is already setup with a det though, whats the fun in that. ;)
