First off I would like to thank Greg for piecing this thing together.
He did what he said he was going to do and did it in reasonable time. Good Job!

Now I have seen this so far. Haven't really driven it too hard yet.

Speedo works within 1 mph of factory speedo

Maf Voltage I recalled it up to like 3.14

Injectors I seen it up to 54 %

Water Temp. This has got me a little worried. Cruising around it is in the 180's If I stop and let my car idle for a bit it climbs slowely to 212 and the fans kick on till it hits 203. It takes it a few minutes and it goes back to 212. I was just wandering what you guys where getting.
What temp does your fans cut on?

BTW the factory temp guage is a POS.

;) Not mine, it is perfect. It warms up real fast and then stays right in the middle. Makes me feel real good about my engine being safe.;)

Actually, I am real curious about this also. I wonder what temp people run on the track also.

That sounds about right... The fan in my NX kicks in at 212 degrees (which is the boiling point of water, BTW.)

What sucks about the factory temp gauge is that there is a variation of about 70 degrees for that middle setting. Comparing the factory gauge to the Techtom, the factory gauge hits the middle setting at around 150deg, and stays there until about 220deg.

At the track, the factory temp gauge starts to climb at over 225deg. Beyond that, I start short-shifting to keep the car from overheating.

Mine says error..........but that's in my 98 gxe.....I will try it on my nx2000 on saturday.....:D

My fan never even turns on due to my NISMO Radiator. Other than that, my Techtom says "Step off bitch, this car is bad ass." Haha.

I was looking at the throttle Position on my Techtom and I noticed that it was at .48 at idle and then at WOT it only went to like 2.2V. I thought it was suppose to read 4 volts or something like that?? Any thoughts on this?

It should work on your NX2000... It didn't work on your GXE because it is a '98 model. The Techtom MDM-100 only works on '91-'97 Nissan vehicles.

Any thoughts on this? yeah something isnt right there... it should read around 4 at wot, mine reads .48 at idle as well but when i mash it it goes up to 4.38...

I knew that...:D, Just wishful thinking...will it work if I swap out a stock 97 ecu?...this is for a 1.6?...I found some stuff for the 2.0 about the egr and a solinoid and about crossing over some pins on the ecu harness...does this apply for the 1.6????....anyone with a FSM on the 97 I have one for the 98

I got some interesting numbers tonight with the cmx-100. Running about 10psi (I say about because I don't think my gauge is that accurate and I think the boost flucuates a bit, digital readout by the way), I hit 5.11v on the Air flow meter, 100% duty cycle. At the stock boost(which I think flucuates again a bit), say around ~4.95v, and 91-95% duty cycle.

Well, I guess I found the limits! This is my setup:
extrude honed BB manifold, t25, S3 cams and JWT cams gears to reduce overlap, JWT ecu, fried catalytic converter (smellin a bit after some hard driving tonight, killed it after running smoke cloud rich for a few thousand), greddy 60mm exhaust, big front mount.

I wonder how the fuel pump is holding up........ I was going to get a 3" exhaust but whats the point now? I'm already at the limits and the bigger exhaust will just push it over more.

As for coolant temps, I was seeing around 180 on the highway and up to 200 when not moving quickly. I cranked the heater on full blast to see what it would do and the coolant temps dropped ~5 degrees. This was driving constant speed(cruise control) at about 40 mph.

And the speed reads about 3 mph lower than the speedo which makes it more accurate. Whenever I drive by those rader speed limit signs, my speedo is always 4-5 higher.

to help with your cooling issues...

wire both fans to come on at the same time or come on with accessories

save money and buy a modine radiator. A guy reported better cooling with a modine than his previous Nismo and this was with a techtom unit dong the readings. Only by something like 17 degrees maybe IIRC.

Man I noticed the exact samething in my se-r, however I'm using a sunpro mechanical temp gauge. It reads around 180s while I'm cruising. But at a stop it gets up to 210-215*F. I also found out that running the heater on fresh air on a setting of 2+ would drop the temp at idle. It would go from 210s to around 190-196s, I noticed the same effect when the cold air is set to fresh.

At the track I noticed that when my car's temps were around 195-210*F I could only muster 15.5-15.8s. However if the temp was around 170-190*F without going over I could run 15.3-15.5s. When my rad bites the dust I plan on upgrading also.

I wish i got that techtom, but I'm holdiong out for the Blitz boost controller and power meter...

When you combine then both with an extra cable it provides all the funtions of the Techtom...

A bit on the expensive side, but it will compliment my trubo setup with a nice matching set...

I've come to the conclusion that the radiator isn't the weak point in our car's cooling system... It's the water pump. I have a Koyo Radiator which is bigger than the Modine, along with some underdrive pulleys, and while it was definitely a huge improvement over the stock radiator, it still failed to keep the car from overheating on a 100deg day at Thunderhill while shifting at 7800rpm; granted, it took *a lot* longer for the temps to climb. I am running just water and Redline WaterWetter.

It should work since it's a '97 ECU that you will be using... Anything '98 and newer or '90 and older will not work.

CivicDragon,

out of curiosity how exactly does the combination of the 2 Blitz gizmos shows you MAF voltage, injector duty cycle, ignition timing advance, air/fuel rations, intake temp and TPS voltage?

Running at 11psi with the tmic on a very cool night (45*) on the highway...3rd gear. Injector was topped at 18.xx MS and the MAF was topped at 5.08-5.11. Cruising (75mph) temps on the highway were at 170ish.

Running at 7.5psi, MAF was at 4.3. I didn't check INJ.

I hope that you will invest in a real temp gauge with that sweet engine you got steve! the stock gauge is WAY off. While racing on the track or at an auto-x, the stock needle NEVER goes over the middle. meanwhile, my autometer is reading 200+!! It amazing to watch as you kick on the fans and watch the temp go down! I never overheated, but after a 20 min session on the racetrack, the car came in the pits at like 210! And, i HAVE water wetter!

So how hot is too hot. I have thought about buying a water temp gauge or possible an oil temp gauge instead (just seems like a good indicator as well) I really don't want a bunch of gauges on my A pillar or on my steering column. But oh well. I have even thought about replacing the stock one with a better one in the factory location. The more stock looking the better is my belief.

my car never overheated so i cant say hot hot is too hot! If you are going to get gauges, get an oil pressure and water temp. I would get them both mechanical (i dont think the electric is as accurate)
