This engine isn't getting me anywhere, quick that is. After my header and exhaust I still only got a 16 tonight. I did only get in 2 runs and wasn't warmed up but thats horrible. I need to stop doing go fast and start working on the twisties!

Had to vent. Bad night at the track.:(

Hey Chrissy your car should be faster. We got a 14.7 outta planose-r's with a p/s header w/a/e and courtest exhaust. Plus those 17's arn't helpin much. I know there is another sec in there just lookin to get out:D

I would be willing to bet that it is just track differences. Just keep trying, its good to have a girl on our side, and at the drag strip. Either way you have a really nice car. Keep it up.

could be track and weather conditions. I ran a 15.45 with a POP, hotshot, and greddy in cold weather at Gainesville Raceway. Went to some backyard dragstrip with no traction, warm weather, and only ran a 15.7 WITH S3 CAMS.

stock my 99 se just ran a 16.1 full interior. with those mods you have you should be running alot faster than that 15. 9 you have in your sig also (at least i think so)

come to the dark side Chrissy! going fast in a straight line isn't half as cool as hitting a corner and getting the back end to come around a bit....tires squealing...wind in your hair....engine screaming...ahhh;)

You have the correct MPH for your mods, you are just not gettig off the line quick enough. I am far from a drag race master(2 times), but I got a 15.2@90 with roughly the same mods.

Well....my wheels are 16".:p
This was just a real bad run. I would love to meet you there Chris but I would never be able to get my boyfriend to go 2 nights in a row.

60" 2.4
1/8 10.3
1/4 16.0
MPH 83.64

Even my 60" was bad. Just a bad run. But...I went to get an oil change (remember I'm lazy) and I was about 1.5 quarts low. And *** oil was BLACK. I forgot to check my oil before I went. I know thats a big no no and thats horrible of me. Maybe thats why I did so horrible.
Hey Anna, move to Jersey! Help me join the darkside of twisties. I need a female se-r driver around here.:)

Chrissy

Hey Thomas, what's tunning? J/P!!:D
But what kind of tuning do you mean. It's all taken care of maintenance wise, and I mean everything.

Just curious Chrissy, what are your shift points?? your trap speed is quite low for your mods, as well as the quarter mile. Do you have any leaks in your intake or header/exaust system?? U should be able to turn at least a 15.6 with those mods...but not at that trap speed.....are u letting off the gas too early?

I have to shift into 4th at the end. My 1st run I tried going through in 3rd and I hit fuel cut off. Felt like a brick wall. But on that run I hit 4th and I forgot to floor it. But thats no excuse.

Thomas, why welcome to the JDM world? Maybe I'll go buy a Z...na!

Don't let one bad night get you down. Don't give up on the straight line. Although the twisties are fun and addictive, it's more fun when you can dance on the curves and have the power for the straights also.

We all have our bad track nights. Not everyone will admit to them, but we all have at least one. If you don't, you're not tryin' hard enuf.

Just my $.02:

You're 16" wheels are not helping you. I always take my light 14" American Racing Type 24 wheels (13 lbs) to the strip.

I wonder if that Stillen body kit is creating a bunch of drag. The equation for drag coeff. includes the amount of frontal area. More area = more drag. More drag = you slow.

Weather conditions?

There needs to be more serious female drivers period, Im rather sick of bimbos in stickered civics with big wings revving on anything with wheels just to 'prove' they are 'racers'
