I recentl purchased a 1991 SE-R with a Gti-R swap. The front end had a Tsuru conversion. I have no tail lights for some reason. The kicker is this, when you hit the brakes the side markers, cluster, climate control lights, and boost guage all illuminate. I have changed out bulbs, removed the marker lights that were spliced into the headlights, and bought new sockets for the corner (turn/marker) lights, but still have the same problem. I would like to drive the car at night from time to time, so I need the guages and tail lights to work. I have working head lights, brake lights, and turn signals.

Any ideas?

I looked at the wiring diagram and it seems that the line that runs the markers and tails is the same so that must have been wired in wrong or something. I really like driving the car so any help would be appreciated.

tail light fuse. i know someone who had the same problem, it was caused by a blown tail light fuse.

Okay, I will try that. I assume that will make the other lights go haywire then? Anything is worth a shot.

After removing several miles of wiring, there was a main that was melted to the frame. Once all the mess was cleaned up, my cluster and tails miraculously started working again. Thanks for the ideas though.

it's your stereo check the illumination wire behind your deck the same exact thing happened to my b13

He already solved this one. I had the same problem just solved it myself and it was not the stereo.
