: can you disable the anti theft??
snuggie_fresh 09-25-2009, 03:45 PM ok here is my dilemma, i bought a 97 200sx SER yesterday and drove it back home and i locked the doors last night when i went into my house, so i came out today so i can go get my tags and taxes and used the key to open the door and the alarm is going on, i dont have the keyless stuff and the key i have isnt an oem nissan key..........needless to say i cant drive the car anywhere now and i have tried disconnecting the battery, pulling the anti theft fuses etc, i can roll the windows up and down and listen to the radio but cant start the damn car and ofcourse the guy i got it fron wont answer his phone,
wondering if anyone can tell me how to bypass the alarm crap, i dont want it anyways i just wanna be able to lock the doors at night but i need to be able to drive the car
snuggie_fresh 09-25-2009, 04:05 PM ok i read that you can use the key to lock and unlock the passengers side door and then the drivers side door, i tried it but i can barely get the key to turn in the locks and i dont want to break it off, its pouring down rain right now if anyone has any xp in this area i would appreciate your help, im really pissed and disapointed atm i finally found me a decent ser for cheap and i cant even drive the bastage
Bucky13 09-25-2009, 04:09 PM It sounds like it's an aftermarket alarm,if using the key doesn't disarm it.Pull the panel underneath the steering column and see if there aren't some non-OE wires there.(it'll be easy to tell).Aftermarket installers will generally make their connections at the column for 12v,ignition,and starter kill.See what you have there first.Hard to fix if I don't know what you've got.:confused:I've been an installer for 25 years,so I should be able to talk you thru it.:biggthump
snuggie_fresh 09-25-2009, 04:35 PM well unlocking the pasenger door worked! i had to spray some liquid wrench in the locks so they would turn but i have to get a new battery and terminals and wires cause they are all screwed tge positive side wires just fell apart when i jiggled the wires, also there was a random yellow wire jammed into the fuse box which i pulled out but im not sure where they go this car is 100% bone stock im gonna trace them to see where they go but I paid $500 for the car so i gotta expect some bumps
snuggie_fresh 09-26-2009, 03:08 AM well my next question is how do i remove the anti theft stuff, i dont really want an alarm and i wanna be able to lock my car doors at night cause I had a cd player and stuff stolen out of my last car but i dont want the fricken alarm go off everytime i unlock it, so what is the best way to remove the stuff without throwing anything else on the car out of whack, sorry im new to the nissan world have always been a honda guy
iNISMOpowa 10-13-2009, 08:37 PM all you have to do to disable it is unlock the trunk lol
snuggie_fresh 10-13-2009, 11:03 PM well the LOL part of it is the key i got doesnt unlock the trunk for whatever reason, i just want to remove the crap all together since i only need to be able to lock the doors and unlock them without a bunch horn and light shenanigans
Barba22 10-16-2009, 02:44 PM Anyone have more ideas of this problem, I'm having it also...
mannytheman1257 10-16-2009, 02:51 PM try taking the anti theft relay off from the engine bay...
det-ser92 10-16-2009, 03:00 PM ... i only need to be able to lock the doors and unlock them without a bunch horn and light shenanigans
unplug the horn and lights!
snuggie_fresh 10-16-2009, 09:29 PM well if you pull the anti theft fuse you cant crank the car, which makes sense since any thief can pop the hood and pull the fuse and drive off so im guessing nissan made it slightly harder than that, im gonna do a wire tuck when i do the engine swap so less wires the better but like stated ** i wanna know what i can take out to disable this crap all together and still have everything on the car work properly
georgieofonz 11-05-2009, 12:11 AM i have the same problem in mine door lock sensor went on i tighten the door sensor its on the door lock inside the door, to disable the whole factory alarm theres a box under steering wheel with only one harness that gose to the lock disconnect the harness its white in color

If you go through the FSM you can remove all of the security wires and it will work fine. When i cleaned out my harness i pulled all of the wires that i did not need and have had 0 issues. There is not just one thing you can take out to make it work. You could bypass the alarm relay under the hood and it will start. Look through the FSM and you will see what is all involved in doing this correctly, its not easy.

When you remove the relay and wiring it takes it out of the circuit. I dont quite remember but i am pretty sure the relay is the only thing that actually stops the car from starting, but there is quite a bit of wires and circuitry that make that happen.
