: Fuel Pressure regulator questions?
Domiken 09-13-2002, 10:04 AM Hey guys i just got a fuel pressure regulator, and im running it at 25PSI at the moment, do you guys know the stock settings for our engines, and how high I can go up to with MSD ignition/Spark plugs and a CAI. All knowledge accepted
98sr20ve 09-13-2002, 11:03 AM 25psi   That would be very lean and could ruin the engine fast.
Set it to 34psi at idle with the vacuem hose attached and then go to the dyno and tune it on the dyno.
Slartibartfast 09-13-2002, 11:17 AM If you're going to do that kind of monkeying on your car, you REALLY need to purchase an FSM.
Probedude 09-14-2002, 01:37 AM FSM for US spec 1991 B13 with SR20DE motor
idling - 36psi
engine not running, a few seconds after ignitinos switch is turned ON - 43 PSI

Domiken 09-15-2002, 11:45 AM Its a 36psi right now, thanks for the info i will be buyiong the FSM soon.
scmser 09-15-2002, 01:42 PM What FP gauge are you running? Brand, fittings, cost?

The FPR is made by Holley, its universal and the gauge reads from 25-65psi, it cost me about $130
Ericdd 09-15-2002, 04:20 PM did you buy it for turbo or to see if you can gain a hp or two on a N/a
Domiken 09-15-2002, 06:10 PM To gain a HP or two N/A, i do feel a difference in the car though.
98sr20ve 09-15-2002, 08:01 PM 10whp on a ve. JWT tends to run things a little rich on most his stuff. You need a dyno to tune it but I just went for max power and then slightly richened it a little just to be safe.
Domiken 09-15-2002, 10:01 PM Ill do the dyno as soon as i get a couple of more things in the next 2 months.

Domiken 09-18-2002, 08:04 AM Thanks for the info Eric, ill be getting headers and an intake soon, so i guess ill be around the same amount of hp...dyno result will let me know
sleeping 91ser 09-19-2002, 01:08 AM Are you sure that the guage wasnt hooked up wrong at first, I only say that becuase 25 psi is really low, and if the guage only begins to read at 25 psi than well you get the picture...
Sean
Domiken 09-19-2002, 10:43 AM Im sorry, it does begin at 0-65psi
