ANy of you classic guys who put a header on and used the AIV want to sell me the "bung" or "plug"? I removed the AIV and i need to plug the hole in the header. I know HS sells them, but if someones got one laying around, i'd like to buy it from you...

Call Brian at Courtesy, he knows the part number by heart. I think they run about $5.50.

Have you tried the local muffler shops? They usually have an assortment of plugs.

if you got the stock manifold lying around, you can use the fitting from the O2 sensor.. :D

Since it still has a hole in it and it would probably cost more to have a cap welded onto it then buying one from Courtesy, I will say that the $5.50 +shipping is a better bet for an actual plug.
My temporary (ghetto) fix was to use the EGR tube nut off of an old busted EGR tube and drop a nickel (yes, a $0.05 nickle  ) into the bung, then tighten the EGR nut onto it. It is a perfect fit and there are no leaks.
My only concern is at what temperature does a nickle start to melt.
So far, it works great and has been on there for 12 days. :D

We put a piece of heater hose on the end of the tube on Rob's car, and capped it off with a spark plug. Rob wants the bung because he's embarrased to open his hood and have people think he's a monkey because of the spark plug just hanging there.
Hmmm, maybe they're right :)

Alright!
Someone else with some ingenuity!
Err...is that 'Ghetto Style'! :D
I looked at that bung hole, with my hands in my pockets, jinglig my change and it just came to me to try a quarter first. Too big. So I went to a nickle and it fit like a glove. I then took the EGR nut and was just so amazed to see it work.
Mine has now been on there for 3 weeks!
