Thanks! I don't know if I should get MT-90 or the Superlight Shockproof. Maybe I'll just put in cheap stuff or some synthetic. I dunno. It'll be awhile before I get any mods put in and start going to the track.

If it helps any, Mike K. actually recommends the Motul over the MT-90. I emailed him before getting some Motul and he reassured me that I'd be highly satisfied.

I was pretty lucky, though. I sent an email to the Motul USA Corporation asking them about the benefits of their gear oil versus the Redline. The not only sent me some nice information but also a whole case of the Motul. Cheapest thing I've had to buy for the car yet, lol.

Getting the fill plug out was a huge PITA.

If you'd like some more info, just let me know and I'll dig it out.

Later,
Mark

Yeah, those tranny plugs suck. If I had to change it out often due to racing or something, I'd find a oil plug with the same threads to stick in there, that way you could use a socket and impact to get it out. For some reason the square is larger than the drive size, be it 3/8" or 1/2", it's tough not to strip it out. I'll drop Motul an E-mail and see what happens. Where can I buy Motul online? Chrissy's vendor was for Redline.

Originally, that was also part of the reason I emailed them... where could I find some? They wrote back with all the graphs and figures about their product and asked for my address. I got a big surprise about 3 days later.

It might have helped that I told them about how the SE-R community was looking for new products and ideas for our cars and that it would be nice to have some other options than just the Redline.

If you go to Mike K.'s garage and click on Motul, just start following the trail... you'll eventually find the email for the US corporation. On second thought, let me dig through my old emails and see if I've still got the address handy.

Ok, found it: Motulusa@aol.com
I talked to DW(first reply) and Dave the second reply. I believe they're the same person. I don't know if you'll get the same response I did, but they never answered me about where I could find the product.

I swear by this stuff. It cushions the gears like you wouldn't believe, w/o it feeling too thick... even when it's extremely hot out. Go for it Tool, use my name and experience with them if you think it will help.

Good luck,
Mark

If it help any I have used Motul Gear 300 since 98. I love it and have had no problems. I doubt I would have had problems with regular oil but the car does shift better in the cold. This is a huge plus. Plus as Mike K said its not as thin so thats better for durability. It is GL4 rated also. Don't freak when you see the bottle with a GL5 on it. It is rated for both. Really DONT FREAK OUT. O.K. ;) Pantera and Motul will tell you its GL4 rated as well. Remember DONT FREAK OUT.:D

Kawasaki vendors carry the Motul line.
Check your local bike shop.

Also, Motul has been a supporter of SE-R events already. They usually donate brake fluid for the convention raffles. That 600 is some serious brake fluid.:)
