I'm having problems with my automatic transmission in my 1997 SE-R. About two-three weeks ago I replaced the passenger side CV axle and the seal in the transmission and apparently it started leaking again. I do check my engines oil EVERY morning and the transmission fluid at EVERY fill-up. There are no fluid spots on my driveway so they would be easily noticed. My car is well maintained but apparently on my way home from grabbing a bite to eat my car just starts coasting as the engine is still running and as I'm pushing the accelerator the car just goes no where. I coasted into a parking lot and put it into park. It rolled backwards. Yes, while in park. I left it there and walked to my house which is fairly close and decide to come back hours later after the school and work traffic has died down. I brought it home on my car hauler and unloaded it in the driveway. I checked the transmission fluid and it was a tad bit low so I added some to the proper level and then i cranked it and went in reverse 5ft and then in drive 5ft. No funny noises. Thought it was all good and so I was going to pull it out of the driveway and turn it around to pull it into the garage and it stopped on me again and made this weird and loud clicking and ticking noise when put into reverse or drive and when I put it back into park. And now when I put it into gear it makes this horrible sound like some kind of pump or something is dry. I work with oil pumps and that's the closest thing I can describe it to. Please help.
