I tried to list the messages from www.se-r.net here, but linking is forbidden.
This has been discussed before - the pilot bearing is not used by the tranny in the FWD SR20DE Nissan. (other than to help align the clutch during install with a pilot shaft.
One poster even measure the inner diameter of the pilot bushing and the OD of the input shaft and the input shaft was too large to fit in the bushing!

Probedude thanks for pointing that out and you are correct. What lead me to believe that it did use a pilot bearing is that my SR20DE Manual had one and my SR20DET Automatic did not. And you are right about the pilot bearing inside diameter being to small for the input shaft outside diameter I also confirmed this myself. I guess only the RWD and AWD use them because nismo make a roller bearing pilot bearing and I sure it not so you can spin the clutch alignment tool realy fast.;)
