It's probably your dimmer switch, there to the left of the steering wheel, and assuming the guages still work the way they should. When I bought my car the dash lights were out, and this was the fix.

Hope this helps.

I put in a new dimmer switch and that didnt work....I dont see a fuse that goes to the gauge cluster...could it be the bulb??How do I take apart the cluster??? its really hard to get to the back where the wires and bulbs are.

Possible it could be the bulbs, but this was my quick and permanent fix. Thought my dimmer switch was bad and took it out. When plugging it in, I noticed I had lights only if the plug was about halfway on. I soldered three wired to the contacts of the switch & cut off the plastic plug and direct-wired the switch. Been working like a charm since & did not have to buy a new switch at $35. Give it a try.

Take your dash apart. replace all the bulbs. If that doeasn't work than the circuit board may have a problem.
When I got my car I had 2 bulbs working. I replaced all the bulbs and shortly after all my lights went out. I bypassed the dimmer but that didn't work. I ended up buying a used instrument cluster from someone. I swapped all my guages into the new circuit board and problem was fixed.

There is a fuse for the dash, I think it includes the stereo etc, but I can't remember what it's for. You might just check all the fuses to see if any went bad...

thanks for your help guys...the wiring was all jacked behind the dimmer, and I replaced all the blown fuses....FIXED:)
