i bought my nx 2000 for 500 bucks whoo hoo haha but i have a problem the person before me decided to lower it and in turn hit a huge pothole or went over to many bumps with that it busted the back drivers side strut housing so there is a huge crack all the way around to the point where the shock can be seen threw the trunk i rigged it to where the is a strong bar running from the one side to the other but i still worry please give me some info i would love to hear some feedback thanks guys........sr20 for life:)

Sadly,I have no suggestions, but that really sucks!
I also bought my nx2k with cut springs, and was always terrified something like that would happen, I seriously had to memorize every freaking pot hole in this city, but this weekend im finally swapping out the struts and springs, wewt!

Hope someone on here can offer you some good help.

1. Remove the cover the interior trim panel that goes over both of your the strut towers (the housing is part of the strut, I'm assuming that you have damage on the sheet metal of the car).
2. Take it to a body shop and ask how much they will charge to cut out the busted section and weld in a new section. Have them check the other tower to make sure it is sound.
3. Have them mark on the tower where the cut marks will be.
4. Go to a junk yard that has a rust-free NX (1600 or 2000) and have them cut out a section slightly larger than what the body shop requires. (Or cut it our yourself if you have a cordless saws-all and extra blades.
5. Pay the body shop to weld it in place.
