Ok, I searched through this forum and couldn't really find that answers I was looking for, but if I missed one I applogize if this has been covered.
On a stock SR20DET from a U12 with T25, what is everyone's recommendation for a downpipe? And, what are your opinion(s) on having an exhaust shop fab one up?
I'd like to find something inexpensive, and will work with a 3" exhaust system.
Thanks,
Travis

If you want a pre-fab 3", though, you can get one from Hot Shot for about $300. Not only is the HS part 3", it's also mandrel-bent, which I'm all but certain the JGY unit is not. Crush bends are bad, remember?
To actually answer the question, though, I honestly can't find any information suggesting one or the other. Having a 3" pipe to a 2.5" cat doesn't make too much sense, but if you were planning on a 3" cat some time soon, I don't see what's wrong with it.

Hotshot's DET downpipe necks down to 2.5" at the end.

CowboyDren - Yeah, I definately remember crush is bad...heh. :D
These are some good suggestions that I'll keep in mind, thanks! I'm still curious though, has anyone had their dp made at an exhaust shop, or has anyone just gathered their own mandrel bends and done it that way? How were the results, etc.?
Thanks,
Travis

Yes..JGY's is crush bent. Considering I got a whole b-pipe crush bent for $90 the $175 is a bit pricey.
