So both cars have the same cams but different headers and one has a tuned ecu? whats the problem?

Those numbers look normal for the mods.

Aww man, change the header and you need an ECU. I'm surprised your friend did so well with that header.
But look on the bright side... you got nowhere to go but up!

Could be your header, Pacesetter isn't know to put out good numbers. With an ASP you should put out a ton more!

im with him^^^^^ get a tuned ecu and swap out the de MAF and get an E60 MAF from the maxima, then get it tuned man...

its the same header since the pacesetter is a direct copy of the 1st gen hotshot. with his smaller diameter cai and exhaust i wasnt expecting his numbers to be so high, especially up top.

ill be getting a realtime and a wideband before i go back to the dyno. that and an oil change (i just realized im past due)should put my numbers in the 180s, ill be happy with that for now.

If u don't mind get it in SAE instead of STD.

i dont see anything wrong just get a tuned ECU and get a 2.5" ebay header. I have seen better numbers on VE's with 2.5" Exhaust than with 3" in case of stock internals! but you should get a lot better numbers with a tuned ECU i have a VE with stock DE ECU and feels like SH!T and my gas mileage is a crap. But congrats because with that mods and stock ECU you have good numbers!

your car shouldnt be running that bad. mine feels good and as you can tell from my dyno ive got a decent powerband. im getting 20/27 mpgs and ive got a heavy foot.

ive seen lower numbers posted with a basic ve tune and better header, so im not too bummed. i plan on going turbo so im not going to bother with another header. i actually wanted to dyno with the pacesetter to see if i could make decent numbers with it (and since its the same as the hotshot 1st gen) we kinda did. same thing with the de ecu.

i don't know if its my car because i have my VE set at 17 degrees timing, PVC Intake, stock VE inj, MSD Ign Coil, stock throttle and DE MAF and ECU with a ebay JVT 2.5 Header and 2.5 exhaust with no CAT and no Resonator with Exhaust Cut-out. But i can notice that when i start running in first gear slowly accelerating my car is like pulling front and back front and back and if i floor it the mixture goes really rich. Some people say to me to throw a 21 degree timing until i get the ECU tuned but i'm not sure.... And when i put the key in ON before starting i can hear the fuel pump i don't know if it have an upgraded fuel pump and it makes my mixture more rich.

change your timing to 21 deg, 17 is too low, the ve likes lots of advance.
