Hey I've got my car running without a air filter now because my stock airbox was crushed. My MAF is fine and complete. I seen this thread and its helped me understand where I need to get this stuff. http://www.sr20forum.com/200sx-se-r/254394-homemade-cai-help.html

I don't need to route mine to the front just need to get the tubing so it works.

My car being the 1.6 do I need the same 45* piping? and drill / weld the necessary hose fittings? I can't see this guy's MAF it should be directly connected to the TBody after I'm finished?

Whats the size fittings I need for this thing and do they got to be spaced correctly on the pipe?

Can I put a http://jdmultimate.com/Store/Product/ItmItem.aspx?ItemId=48064&Make=UNIVERSAL Air bypass valve directly after the Cone filter and then into the single pipe, and into my MAF, and into my TB?

If you don't want to bother with all that just go to autozone buy the adapter and a cone filter and be done

Kind of like this one but not that big and i think i only paid like $8

yeah cold air kits are little over rated for me. I just bought that adapter and the cheapest cone filter and you have a nice short ram intake for like $25-$30.

Oh also if you go this route make sure you get the right bolt spacing.

damn thats crazy, lol.

On my GA I just have cone filter. I'm planning on doing my own diy intake in the near future, but clean up that lil section as well.

Get a smaller size battery like a Group Size 51R so you can some space for the cone filter & intake piping. I used to have a group size 24F battery, and at my store a customer return a good condition core(from costco) and bought a new duralast gold. I just swapped my old battery for that new 51R battery, lol. battery was slightly lighter and engine bay looks less cluttered.

is it just me or is there not a headlight, try taking out the resonator under the battery/in front of the wheel well "keep bolts" drill holes and "bolt" up some nice pieces of hvac under the bumper in a "s" shape to the short ram. I'm still working on the best possible set-up/ eliminate any resistance and sealing any holes.
