That small looking filter is the sender. You need to look on the back of the block for the old one, take it out, and replace it with the sender the Autometer gauge came with. It should have several fittings, one will fit perfectly.

find the old sending unit and cut the wire that goes to it and tape it up or put a butt connector and leave it alone because it will be useless to you from now on. next take out the old sending unit, then find the fittings from your kit that fit onto the block(there should only be one) and attach it to the new sending unit. (with taht white tape around teh threads to make sure you do not leak oil) using a hand tool(wrench) just start putting it in. after it is all tight run your wires and you should be set

On the back of the block, across from where the starter is.

ive always wondered where people put oil pressuree sensors i wouls ASSume it would be on the ops (oil pressure switch) which is a 27mm bolt size and would be on the pass side from the bottom. am i correct on this?

Yeah, I just ditched the stock oil pressure sender and using a mechanical oil pressure gauge (HKS). You have to be careful with the electrical pressure gauges becaues they have big sending units. I've heard of them basically stripping the threads in the block and falling out (therefore creating a huge oil leak!) from the sending units weighing a lot.
And to get to the oil pressure sender location (where most of us tap for the turbo oil feed line), get under the car from the passenger side and it's about the axle, back side of the motor. Oh yeah, the threads in the block are 1/8 BSPT.

so there are 2 options...take out the stocker and replace it with the aftermarket sender or T the oil supply line...cool thanks
