A friend and I drove down to Deal’s Gap the tail of the dragon and it was killer. The best roads I have ever driven!
We left Thursday night from the Baltimore area took 10 hours to get their drove the gap and surrounding area’s Friday all day and left Friday night. NO SLEEP the whole trip other than small naps when switching drivers. The SE-R was beat on for 40 some hours with a few small breaks. No problems at all. We are planning a trip in the next month or so with other cars that I will post when the time comes to see if anyone is interested in going or meeting us there.
If you have ever thought about going GO ASAP that place is great but make sure you have a nice set of brakes on the car. Some of the roads are as high as 5500 feet that you will be coming down. I put metal masters pads on mine last week and they work great.
When I get the film develop I will post some pics.

Damn!! That has got to be the craziest highway layout I have ever seen!!! Looks like serious fun! I would probably be afraid to drive that alone.

It's good to have someone in the car with you to look thru the trees to see if they see any other cars or bikes coming. I had my car set up for more oversteer and I didn’t want to slide the tail into the other lane with a bike coming at me.

It looks like you are about 9 hours away about 1 hour shorter than we drove. So in about a month or so you down for a little dragon run?????????:cool: All the cool kids are doing it!:D

ok, cleared some stuff out.

so where is this place exactly at i went to the site and looked at some of the maps is it in nc? i remember seeing someone post it on zilvia.net. i would love to take that road........in my 240 though no way in hell in my sloppy excuse of a suspension my sentra has

it's in TN and NC. you can see the state line in the map.

my dad and his goldwing buddies have done deal's gap a couple times, and got some badass pictures too. just lemme know when we take on the monster. hopefully in a couple months, so i'm sure to have all my suspension done.
