I have a 96 200sx se-r. A while back, I noticed the driver side cv joint was going out. Okay....no big deal, I thought. Just replace it. Well I bought a new left and right axle set. Driver side is fine. But for some reason the center support bearing literaly blew apart after getting 5 miles down the road on the new PS cv axle. Well, that sucked. So I get it replaced and try it again. Same thing. I broke down in almost the exact same spot. Center support bearing blew apart again. I've asked everyone I know including local nissan shops. They have no clue. The only reasonable thought I got was maybe it was knocked so far out of alignment from disconnecting the knuckle from the strut, it put some stress on the bearing. Don't really see how thats possible considering the way it's mounted. I personally think maybe a bad batch of "sealed" bearings from the factory. Any thoughts? I'm tired of changing these things.
