Great drive. I loved putting the Miata video with yours and seeing both perspectives. See you at the ARRC.

Thanks for the posting, great race and driving. Congrats again on the win. Lot of respect for the Miata driver, too.

Do you have a link for that? I don't know who was driving that day, not really sure where to search for it.

It's all in the Facebook thread.

AWESOME!!!! What a battle with the green Miata for most of the race, then that blue near the end! Where did he come from? I thought he put himself into the wall on the last lap. Damn good race Joe!

The last two laps from inside the green Miata are fantastic. Watch from -8:00

Chris the Green Miata is Marc Cefalo owner of Planet Miata. Good friend.

I watched the in car video from your video & the green Miata side by side, it was great to see both perspectives simultaneously.

great job, joe!

i'm glad to see that the car is running strong and wasn't hurt at NJMP from the engine overheat!

what was your best laptime at the glen during that race?

Great driving. From the video it looks like you are going almost as fast in the 'sole' of the boot as you are right before the bus stop, that surprises me (although I have never seen in-car at the glen, only Rolex races while half in the bag)

When are you coming to Mosport? :D

nah; joe is going much faster approaching the bus stop; he's deep into 5th gear there; he never gets to 5th in the sole (you gotta walk that track sometime; it's a mountain coming up out of the toe along the sole into T8!!!).

joe, i am amazed at how you owned those miatae in the ankle!!! dude, you were killing them there! and i am amazed that you consistently were able to outbrake them almost everywhere (i'd have thought that the miata's better weight distribution and light weight would have made them able to brake better than you...). but holy sh*t, can they catch a draft off your sentra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you just couldn't shake them, if they were anywhere near your back bumper coming up the esses!!!! awesome race, man!

(sometime i'd like a rematch against you in the Probenstien; he's running real good right now!!! - just turned a 2:17.6 at VIR Full last weekend in PTE trim on toyo ra-1s at 2660 lbs).

any chance you might want to come on out for the NASA NE race end of this month at NJMP Thunderbolt? i'm seriously considering going; i've only got one day driving on that track, so i am still learning it.... rematch?

That makes more sense, I thought he was in 4th approaching the bus stop. At Mosport even with the 7/8 of a mile straight I am just hitting the rev limiter in 4th....although you enter the straight in 2nd gear and it is up hill the whole way. I wish my car was ok to cross the border then I'd be out there with you guys...but it's not so you'll have to come up to race with me :biggthump

Ah, I missed the link. That's the bitch when you're on Facebook mobile, you don't see it all laid out the same unless you go to the site.

Thanks!

NJMP Lightning is sort of the same issue on its main straight, I'm running 4th gear up to 7500+, but 5th is useless due to the slowly rising grade on the main straight. Granted my car is Street-Prepared/Street-Touring level car so it's not going to hit the same level of speed as a PTE car.

Maybe with more power, less weight, IDK...it's 0.5 miles and you come in and wind out 3rd early and just let the speed climb in 4th until the end, uphill RH into Turn 1. Still, was able to pass some much faster cars there toward the end going not more than 125 mph, they just wouldn't brake late enough and really commit to the first turn. The way it's laid out it is a much faster turn than it looks on the track map, I didn't quite find my limits there, always felt like could have taken it a little faster.

I love that course :D

Thunderbolt looks great but haven't been on it yet.

nah; joe is going much faster approaching the bus stop; he's deep into 5th gear thereI'm not so sure about that. He's probably in the 120mph range there, so that'd be more like the top of 4th.

If ya wanna rematch it may have to a Ne race I let my nasa Lic. Lapse didn't **** pay for it if I wasn't gonna use it. I may beable to make arrangements with them. :)

Yeah I was takin those guys to school goin into the boot. I noticed they were both downshifting 3rd gear when i would stay in 4th. Car was really hooked up through the boot.

Jersey at the end of the month isn't gonna happen. Gettin the car ready for the ARRC the first weekend in NOV. Gonna do a final dyno this weekend and hopefully kick some ass down there.
