Welcome to another edition of name that noise. Tonite we have a wonderful little noise believe to have been a bad outer tie rod. Results were that the outer tie rod was bad but not the noise maker.
The light clunk noise comes from when i turn my steering wheel to the left and then when i turn it to the right, as soon as i go pass the dead center mark i get a light clunk noise.
Those who get the correct answer get to chose behind door number 1,2 or 3. Anyone?

Do you have GC coil-overs? Were the lugs loose? Is the wheel bearing bad? CV joint?

Sorry, that was actually 4 answers. I guess I'm a cheater.

1. I have H&R's with agx's
2. Not the lugs have taken rims off many times and tightend them many times.
3. Recently replaced the wheel bearings.
4. CV joint is a possiblity except it does the noice wheather i am moving or not and the boots and axles look like new.
5. I dont think it would be a motor mount because it does it when it is just sitting there and doesnt even need to be running.

Maybe my rack is busted or something is just hittin it. I am going to put it up on jack stand soon after it stops raining and see where exactly the noise is coming from.

It's either the spring setting uneven and popping or a strut bearing. I have the same noise. It's not a CV joint, it would do it only when turning. Unless your tie rod ends are ripped and a mess, it's not them. Buy some WD40 and spray it in the strut mount. If it really bothers you, buy two new strut bearings from Nissan. It is not a safety hazard.

i got the same noise and it could be a possibility of strut mounts

Speaking of stuts, how is that rear strut tower bar coming out. Im not pressuring you, just wondering. I am ordering my rear sway abr and the only thing i have left for suspension, minus tires, is that rear strut tower bar.
