So I just picked up this motor from my budd to replace my blown sr20 in my Sentra. He gave it to me for free, but he said the reason he pulled it was because it spun a crank bearing. He was pulling it into his driveway when he heard it happen, and just let it drift in neutral down the driveway and shut it off..so it ran for maybe a minute. The crank is all scored up on the side where the bearing spun, but i found a rebuilt crankshaft kit online, including new bearings. What are the chances that the rest of the motor is ok? I plan on buying an engine stand within the next few days to really check it out, but I wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

I had the same problem u can just replace the crank nd bearings and it should be good just make sure it didn't bend a rod

Alright cool. did your motor run as strong as it did before it spun the bearing?
