ok so i cut the black hose that connects the bpt and egr... have i made the EGR completely disabled? or partly?

Hmm... I dunno. Is it a vacuum line though? If so, you might want to cap off either end of it as it could create a vacuum leak.

Yes, but block off the hose from the BPT as the previous poster wrote.

I've used ball bearings balls before - just stuff it in the hose (choose one big enough to not get sucked through) and plug it back on. Still looks visually correct.

If it works fine no need to plug it. The ECU turn off the EGR at WOT so you won't gain anymore power, the car won't pass emissions though.
