My windshield wipers stop working but i can still hear the motor moving any thoughts. and where can i find the motor so i can test it?

There is a bar that connects your wiper motor to the wiper blades. After some time the connections on the bar wear out and "pop off" the wiper arm or the wiper motor. Usually, you simply order that connecting bar (it is about $15, I think), remove the old one and connect the new one. It is really very, very easy.

and i can get to them from the outside of the car?

u have to remove the rubber covers to get to it. rite at the base of the wipers.
