Is it me or does the nitrous never seem to last long enough. I'm only spraying 50....started last weekend, seemed to use it only 4 times or so and its on vapors(10 lb tank) Would it be easier to go to a larger tank or dual nitrous tank setups? Which is more cost effecient? Ideas/Comments would be appreciated.

Think how I must feel spraying 100 or 125!! I've thought of stepping up to a 15 pound bottle and keeping the 10 as backup (somewhere... I haven't thought that far ahead).

Thats what I will probably do.....purchase a extra 10# tank and just keep it in my closet. Simple

Dual bottle setup would make sense if you don't mind the weight penalty.

Personally, I'll be running dual 10lbs at first and then dual 12lbs carbon-fiber bottles in the distant future.

For the jetting my system will have once the engine is built up a bit, I will need the extra capacity unless I like refilling my bottle after three or four passes before it starts to fall off in power.

With under 100hp, I just would be more cautious about my use of nitrous, sure it's fun, but those $30-35 refils per week will grow tiresome quickly and you'll end up picking your "fights" more wisely and might even limit using it to the track only. When I had nitrous the first time, I gave people rides and stuff but that grew old quickly. After that I only used it at the track and two rare times on the street to teach a V8 a lesson or two...

yeah agreed. I fill up the tank every other week....I do try to 'limit' it somewhat. I think I'm going to save money for a turbo however :)

I recommend you just save for boost. I've had 2 NOS setups so far, and granted they were fun when the bottle was full, it always ran out.

i don't race on the street really ... so i honestly don't use up nitrous very fast. i've had the same bottle for a good 2 weeks now. still pulls like a mofo, without the heater :D

A little hint to make your "fill" last longer...

Place your bottle in a freezer for a few hours and then fill while the bottle is frozen. When I was spraying (ah, the godd days) I would stop at the shop on Thursday nights (every Thursday night) drop off the bottle and pick it up on Friday to do some weekend slaying.
