okay, i've somewhat finished my cai and whenever i start the car the rpms goes way down and then jumps back up. I think it might be the location of the maf sensor as u may notice in the pics i've lengthened the maf sensor with longer wires( I DONT KNOW WHY I DID THIS) but the car has been fine for at least a week since i've had my pop charger and lengthened the wires. ANy help is GREATLY appreciated.
oh yeah BTW,the car will eventually idle at 800rpm if i start it enough, but when i start pressing the gas a little it dies. Hope this helps. THnaks.

is it me or is there an extra hole with no hose going to it?:confused: right by your other hoses. that can cause a problem (if that is what it is)

also once ytou get the car to idle ok does the rpm limit itself to 2500?

plug that hole. any air that gets in after the MAF will make it run like shit and die

ok, i pluged the valve cover vent hole on the primary and left the hose hanging. and that other iddy bitty hose as well, and i got a real good solid connection on the other bigger hose (the one that sucks in a lot). Okay, now my car is running at a good idle and the idle isnt bouncy. The only thing is that while that car was running i noticed this liquid spitting out of my exhaust!What the heck is that and why is it doing that? and the engine moves a lot and is rough at idle(but the idle is constant) Is this because i have the other two hoses not connected to anything? I remember seeing someone's engine bay of an sr20 and they had a small air filter at the base of the valve cover instead of a hose going to a cold air intake. So i know that that hose shouldnt make a difference if it's plugged in or not, Right? and what does that other tiny hose do? is that needed? BTW: my rpms isnt limited to 2500.

THe small air filter you have seen hooks up to the Aiv system. It is just another piece of emissions equipment. If you dont already have one on there, then get a small filter to place on it where the hose used to be. Also, u might want to set your base idle.
