: Opinions wanted from those with AGX and Road Magnet setup

Hi,

I have spent the last few weeks going through ShawnB's suspension thread (thanks for all the good info). Given that Hyperco GenII's are damned near impossible to find, I have basically decided to go with a road magnet and kyb agx setup. Yes, I know that people say the CSK's are better etc... but I dont drive on the track or weld and a set of AGX's are available for free.

I am driving a 1992 Sentra GXE with a recently rebuilt sr20de and GT28RS turbo so I am especially interested in opinions from people with B13's.

Before I seal the deal and order a set of RM's, I wanted to get peoples opinion about the harshness of this setup as a daily driver. I am old now (30), married, and will honestly probably only use this car to drive to work, go around town, occasional drag strip, and maybe an autocross someday. I dont think I will drive it on the track, I would prefer to just race go-carts and not take the financial risk of destroying my daily driver.

So how jarring are they? I have had AGX/GC and D2's (7k/5k) in the past. I felt that both of those were tolerable when I was 25 but at this point I would like something a little softer.

I appreciate the input, there is a lot of great info on here but it seems like all the suspension experts are using the cars in situations that I am really not concerned with. Thank again.

Nate

I dont have a comparison from OEM, but after going RM/AGX from Ksports, I love the RM/AGX for daily compared to the Ksports, but on the same note, the handling from the ksports was undeniable.

i have heard the same bout the ksports..it seems thats the way to go. im puttin on some agx's on my car this week but i got some B.S. ebay springs but hay its a daily driver and im not tryin to worry bout blowin a strut or gettin a headache drivin over bumps...but it is nice to have a stiff track suspension when your passanger has big boobs :biggthump!!!lol *** think about what your usein your car for and do the suspension according to that. :biggthump

I have on RM/AGX on my sr powered b13. They are firm and handle well on the highway but a bit rough on bumpy roads but still decent for everyday. They are still better than most of the other springs on the market.

I too have the RM/AGX combo on my B13. Definitely depends on the road surface where you are. They don't pave too well here and you'll really feel it. Excellent on smooth roads though! I had some settling issues when putting them on (hear popping sound when turning the wheel) but give them a chance to settle in the spring perch and you'll be all set.
