I was wondering the best "budget (we'll use this as a loose term, since turbo-charging can get expensive)" turbo set up using a GTiR manifold and T28 or BB manifold and T25.

The goal is 225 to 250 hp at the wheels, with some room to grow (that's why I would like to go the T28 route). I don't need 300 wheel horsepower...

I am wondering about your bored stock MAF method also. How much can you go with stock injectors/stock fuel pump?

I am the type of person that would not adjust boost to the point of affecting reliability. I understand the T28 runs around 10.25 psi stock. Not sure about a T25.

I want to have the best reliability and drivability.

the T28 runs from 7-9psi stock just by adjusting the wastegate actuator! At those levels there have been 2 cases were the injectors are maxed out. If you are going to go the t28 route I highly suggest the 50lb injectors. If you want to run the 370's to the max then andreas's method of a 4 bar ECU program with a Bored Stock Maf (to 53.5 or 54 mm) will work with 370's to get the max to 285hp readable! Are you running any type of cams with this???

If you are only looking for 230-250 whp, then the T28 with 370cc injectors and stock MAF will work fine. You will max out the MAF & injectors @ 240ish whp.

The $252.00 is just for the manifold. No Heatshields. They sell the heatshields as well.

The $650.00 is for a Brand New T28 only!
