hey i saw this brace at a recent car show. its made by JIC Magic. I tried checking the JIC web site but it doesnt have it listed. Maybe one of the fabricators here on the forum should try making this? i would definately be interested!

Should be a piece of cake. I'll be taking one of my fenders off before winter sets in to remedy some rust, so I'll look into it at that point. That one looks expensive, and considering the shock tower is still a good 4-6" further in than where that thing connects up top, I can't see how it does a whole lot of good. It's funny how pics show up in the Topic Review but not in the actual post.

it seems like a great brace to have especially since that area looks like a crucial area where a lot of flex could occur(the area where *** wheelwell/strut tower connects to the firewall/pillar). Besides, if JIC makes it, im sure its good. Some people go as far as stitch welding over the factory welds and a lot of cars such as the new 350z and G35 seem to concentrate a lot on chassis rigidity, why not build a brace like that? Maybe a better idea would be to make the same brace, but have supports go to both the lower and upper door hinges?
