Cruise works too.

This is a B12 Pulsar wheel, with leather cover and a gunmetal Nissan emblem thrown in for fun. Cruise was relocated, horn was custom wired. Next phase is to get cruise hardware and contact rings from a non-airbag B13, and see if I can get the cruise back on the wheel where it belongs. There's a loose connector (not hooked to anything)in the steering column that has the right wire colors (three wires total) for the cruise, and nothing else - anyone know if airbag-equipped cars had the wiring for non-airbag cruise in place?

Comments welcome.

Looks good. I need to figure out how to redo my cruise control. But I figure for long trips I'll just swap steering wheels, takes me about 3 minutes :p

How big is that wheel compared to the stock? I know the stock is 14.5"...the one I got is an inch smaller. Just curious on that one. It looks real sweet though. :D

It's a little smaller, not sure if it's a full inch. It is closer to the column, though; I've been bumping my knee on it today (put it on Sat) and the turn signal/wipers are a lot closer to the ol' fingertips, but I'll get used to it soon.

For the cruise I got another spiral cable and hacked it to get the wires out - routed them to where you see the cruise buttons mounted. The next step is to get the three contact rings and wiring from a non-airbag car and see if I can adapt it to this wheel. OR, I have an inkling that an S13 wheel with cruise might bolt right up, but I'm not sure on this one. The non-cruise S13 wheel looks exactly like this one, it's just a question of whether the turn-signal deactivator and hub assembly match.

Sam, yes, that emblem does look familiar. :D

I had the problem with hitting my knees on the stock wheel. It was about halfway down before, I didnt like it all the way up. With the new wheel at the same height, I no longer hit my knees. I am a happy happy man! :D

Now....if I can just get my horn to work... :D
