i thinking of going to look at a 93 sentra se-r, it has 100k+ on it. so im wondering what i should check out on this thing. i have already seen the 5th gear problem, anything else?

hehe yeah i know, saw this car forsale, might as well go check it out. and plus i want revenge, i have a nice scar on my hand from working on a se-r when at midas :D

Just went to look at this POS. First, the asking price: $3400. Now, let's go through and find out what's wrong.

Car has 137,xxx miles.

Rear calipers COMPLETELY seized (don't work at all!), no moonroof, major rust in door jambs, driver's door does NOT close, pass. door has door sag, driver's side visor is missing cloth, rear of car has new trunk lid and bumper (<-major accident), rust in various other places, and the MAF was re-grounded (previous owner must have known about SE-R.net).

I didn't even bother wasting my time by taking it for a test drive, so who knows if it has 5th GPO. I asked the manager what's "the best he could do" and he said $3000. After I stopped laughing, I told him he had my number and when he was ready to sell it (I mentioned $1300) to give me a call. Honestly, I saw a better SE-R at my local pick-n-pull!

It is just a shame what dealer's do to make a quick buck. Some soccer mom is going to buy her son that car and he will just wreck it some more.

Another SE-R bites the dust...
