update on the 4door

so I got the motor pulled about 2 weeks ago and now its awaitng a new powerplant "more than likely another DET". well here it is.

well its just a little somethin' for the ladies:D

perfect time to clean up and wire tuck that engine bay..

yup im probably gonna repaint the bay too. and just clean up the wiring a little bit.

the motor arrived yesterday, its another avenir. Im just waiting for the amsoil 10w30 and nissan filter to arrive. the motor looks very clean inside and out. turbo has no shaftplay or damage. the only thing that was missing was the turbo outlet pipe. it came from tiger japan, so Im gonna go ahead and replace all the bearings and seals.

yeah, ive been seeing a lot more four doors on the forum lately. mine is pretty much a 4 door SE-R minus the rear disks.

4 doors are faster :)

there is just something that draws me to 4 doors. not sure what it is. nissan should have used their head back in the day and made a B13 SE-L so we wouldnt have to worry about this motor swap business.

bad compression. still not sure how it happened oil was change religiously every 1500 miles. oil pump maybe????? I sure i didnt help that I was using Mobil1 oil either. I gonna be rebuilding that one this year with darton sleeves, 90mm pistons, rods, ARP studs, GT35R, springs, retainers, VE head... plus im probably gonna buy one of those mazworx 6speed swap kits with my tax return. so that should fun. 4door, VVL, 6 speed, GT35R, 9000rpm redline.

the home depot lip. it was like 6 bucks. look in the garden section.

the oil arrived today, so hopefully she'll be up and running in the next two weeks.

im curious, how did you black out or darken your headlights? did you spray on the reflective inside the lights?
