: Nitrous Question
tunerguy4life 12-17-2009, 08:22 PM ok im thinking about spraying instead of boosting....and im curious to see what size shot i can run without blowing anything up....the car has 137k miles on it and i was told a 75 wet shot...some told me 100shot...so im curious to see what everyone thinks...also i found this air filter and was wondering if it would work with the shots.... http://innovativediesel.com/i-1705507-ejector-air-amplifier-for-short-ram-style-intake-system-4ft-feed-line-2-5-in.html
AaroNX 12-17-2009, 11:29 PM You'd be best off starting with a 50 shot and working your way up from there. Every motor is different so there's no telling what kind of abuse yours could handle.
I'd stay away from that zex filter. It's a good idea for map based cars, but it could cause bad issues with a maf sensor.
a wet shot! is this gonna be some quick getto set up through the intake or are you gonna run a fogger set up? a motor with that many miles no more than 75 if its your get around car if you have another car spray it till it blows...i say youd have about 3 shots till its done and thats if you know how to use nitrous...
tunerguy4life 12-18-2009, 12:05 AM was thinking a fogger set-up...keeping options open for right now....what would be the best setup to run? without blowing the motor?

scince you have no experience go with a dry shot in the intake *** to get the feel and learn about it more. if youve never used nitrous before things can go bad pretty fast, dont even worry bout doin a fogger yet cause then your talkin bout drillin into the intake man. and putting more direct power in it. are you upgradeing your feul system, or do u have a msd or ecu to pull timing when the nitrous hits?
tunerguy4life 12-18-2009, 08:51 PM i will upgrade the fuel before i spray it 370cc injectors 255 pump all that jazz
slimspeedb13 12-19-2009, 01:33 PM *** CHANGE THE INJECTORS. ADD THE PUMP AND USE A WET FOGGER SET-UP RIGHT BEFORE THE THROTTLE BODY ON A MICROSWITCH ACTIVATING SET UP. THATS HOW IM RUNNING MY SET UP AND I HAVE NO PROBLEMS.. 12.2 ON A 100SHOT ALL DAY...
tunerguy4life 12-19-2009, 06:05 PM post pics of your set-up and neccessary parts plz
b14fab 12-22-2009, 05:52 PM No need to replace injectors, stock ones will do fine. Just make sure you change pump and install a fuel pressure gauge to moniter pressure and adjust nitrous jets accordingly. I had a 75 shot with no problem. Just be careful how you activate the nitrous. If using hand activated button, make sure you're careful
tunerguy4life 12-22-2009, 09:03 PM yeah i think im going to go with the wot switch for safty purposes...where would be a good place to mount the ports?
Fastkx125 12-23-2009, 08:30 AM What year is your car? the B13's dont need a fuel pump for a 75 wet shot. I run a 75 wet on a Jspec motor. But I also run a progressive controller so Im not blasting the rods with 75, it ramps up from 0 to 75 in .8 seconds. Im looking to sell all my NX stuff so let me know if you need anything. And dont forget the Bottle heater its verrrrryyyy important to get the right bottle pressure.
b14fab 12-23-2009, 11:21 AM the only reason i went with a button, because on my b14, it was hard to find a place to mount the wot switch.....i didnt have the patience to make a custom bracket and was worried that it would get entangled or stuck on the throttle cable.
What do you mean by - where do i mount the ports? which ports?
