I just bought a VZ-R pulsar and stuck a new enigine in it (SR16vVE) i just finished and had it running today, the temp gauge in the dash was in the middle but when i put my hand on the valve cover it was so hot i could only hold it ther for a second before it would burn me. the radiator fans are working fine.
and the car is really good to drive noting noticablehappens when you drive it.
Is this just how the engine is supose to run or would something be malfunctioning?
Thanks

yeah just make sure you actully get all the air out by bleeding the radiator.it has a bolt there.but you can also take off the radiator cap start your enginge then add radiator fluid ass it keeps absorving it.thats the way i did it but the safest way is by filling up all your radiator then put the cap on then loosen the bolt to let all the air out then bolt back on real quick..that realy works..just dont add water.use nothing but radiator coolant and 1 bottle of water weter.

The quickest way I found is to fill the block up first by removing the upper hose off the radiator then pour coolant slowly down into the block till the hose is full then you know your block is about 90% air free the reconect the hose to the radiator and fiil it next ! If there is air behind the thirmistat it won't open. Some thirmistat's don't have a bleeder valve on them .Does that water wetter realy work that good ? I might have to try it .:)

If you touch anything over ~65deg it will be "hot" and "burn" you so considering the motor's normal running temp is in excess of 70degC that would be totally normal.

one of your wires is tucking the ground make sure to get a light testter see what it gives you.you can get 1 of those light testers with the + - lights on itthey sell the in autozone if you dont have one there about 5bucks.see what signal it gives you with the car lights on.make sure you check every wire on that plug.
