My girlfriend has a 96 and I want to get her keyless entry for a gift. I dont think her car came with it stock, will the dealership be able to get everything I need for it? Thanks

yes, but @ an inflated price (unless you have a hook up).

it may be cheaper to get a aftermarket one for her.

All you need to do is get the remotes. You can program them your self. I promise. It is real easy. If you know anyone with a service manual, it is in there. Oh, by the way, nice gift. It is nice having the remote entry.

Sweet, hows her car running mark?

Her car is running pretty good. We just took the 6 puck out of it and put a street disc in. put some new mm inserts in and a new axle. I just got her the keyless entry and ashleys clear corners. The car moves out pretty well. I want to find out what cams she has in there(the kid we got it from bought everything from stillen) so she has a stillen ecu, stillen cams, stillen strut bar(sold it), eibach sportlines, Weapon R intake, Stillen 4-1 header, 2-1/4" exhaust, 17" konig toxxins(I am trying to get these off of her but she wont budge, damn women-jk!). It is pretty hooked up, but the one thing she wanted out of it all was a sunroof. I havent seen a B14 se-r without a sunroof and to our luck she gets the one with no sunroof! Go figure. Definitly the car goes pretty good. I will hopefully have some pictures up this weekend (if I can get some pics in the daylight). I think a Jspec swap is going into it with a 100shot and my 370's. That is my project car when she is out of school next summer for the NA/NOS side of me! I let her drive my car last night and the comment I get is- " Your car is weird, I dont like it", me-" but you havent revved it up above 3 grand yet", her after shifting from second to third at redline- " I dont want to do that it scares me"! That made my day!

Wait a minute. The keyless entry is all in the remote only? Nothing on the car?

It was very weird when I did it. You just stick the key inside the ignition 4-6 times rapidly with the doors closed and locked. Once the hazards blink once you turn the key to the ACC position and hit the lock button on the keypad. It sets that keypad to the signal in the car. Thats it, all done! It is great and so easy to do I thought I could have hurt myself thinking about it!

yeah i'm kinda lost here too. So all i have to do to have keyless entry is go to the nissan dealership and buy a remote?

one more thing.... how much do they charge for a remote at the dealership?

I still have never got the chance to meet Mickey. I'm hoping some year he will get his nx out to the track when I'm there. The Friday night races are still pretty fun not too many imports out there other than Hondas and I rarely ever see any Nissans.

Thanks on the dyno numbers! I am actually going to finally take pictures of her today in the sunlight! ( I usually take pictures in the dark because that is the only time of the day I have free time). If you get a chance tell Mickey I said hello! I guess there are more B14's out there without sunroofs than I thought! The best thing to do guys with the remote is to go on ebay and get them. They are about $60 at the dealership. You can get them for around $10-30 on ebay! Good luck with that and have a good one everybody! Thanks for all of your replies!

umm i followed all the instructions the hazards blink....i turn the key , hit the lock button but nothing happens....i got the right remote and keyless entryis on the car whats wrong???

did you get the correct key fob?
