Hey Fellow SR20 owners. Long time reader first time poster. Before I get to my question I would just like to say d@mn after a year of searching I finally purchased a pristine 1997 200SX SE-R and after driving a 1995 Sentra auto I am amazed at how fast this car is :D . Now down to buisness. I was wondering if anyone makes a T28 kit . I want a T28 turbo but I don't want to peice it together here and there. I only want around 200 to 250 whp at the most (well for starters any ways).
Thanks

I can get you the T28 setup with 370cc injs for $1300 shipped to your door. A JWT comp to run setup will be $550 shipped to you. If you go with my bored MAF, 4 bar program setup I can net you some 12.8-13.0 timeslips.

does your T28 set up come with the oil lines and J-pipe. Also is this new parts or used parts of a GTi-R.
Thanks

Well, if you're looking for 200-250whp for starters..... but planning on stepping up, then I'd go ahead with a bigger Maf(cobra or ZTT), and 50# injectors, and new fuel rail. Not to mention the bigger fuel pump. That way, when you want to step up the power (bigger turbo), you won't have to change the fuel system.

I agree with what khiem said. I am running into this problem as we speak. If you have a T28 setup and want to turn up the boost your readable HP by the stock MAF is maxed out. If you are going to do a t28 and only want to do things once, I would go with the 50lb inj. and cobra/ztt maf! If you have cams and want to turn the boost up, you can probably net some 300whp numbers! (I am at least gonna try on the stock Pulsar turbo).

If you want a brand new GTi-R T28, manifold, heat shield and other goodies, try

www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=423

If I were to go T28, I would buy the heat shields for the *stock appearance...

*Opinions on stock my vary from enthusiast to enthusiast.

A bored MAF and 4 bar 370 cc inj will net 285 WHP. I want to see you get more than that on a T28. I know it can be done but you will be overspining the turbo. GTIR T28 is good for 275-285 WHP at 16-18 psi. Thats all you need. If you are going to upgrade to a big T3T4 then get the big Injs.

So andreas,
how much HP can the stock Maf read??? I thought it was 260hp not whp. And I thought your program was for 285hp not whp? Please correct me if I am wrong. At last weekends dyno on a T28 at 14psi 285whp was obtained. My goal is to get 300whp out of a stock T28 with 50lb injectors and a cobra maf! I am not going to talk about it at all until it is obtained. What was the most you have heard out of a t28 for wheel horsepower? Thanks and have a good one!

I had thought about the 50lbs injectors and the cobra maf but for some reason I thought the 370's would have been better suited for the T28.

Well, consider this, I'm running a t25 with S3 cams, stock maf, 3bar, and I've already topped out both the maf and the 370cc injectors. Maf is topping out somewhere around 10psi. The injectors are at 95% duty cycle at 7 psi at redline (~7.8krpm). Not sure at what rpms the injectors hit 100% duty cycle at 10 psi. Probably not far above 6k. I need to go do a test :)

I'm one with the exact setup you're talking about. 370 injectors and T28, with stock cams. And I can tell you that the 370s are maxxed out at 100% duty cycle *right at* 10psi, using the stock 3-bar fuel pressure and stock MAF.

That will get you in the low 13s, no problem.

Andreas is setting me up with his Nismo FPR, 4-bar ECU and bored MAF. That will get me into the high 12s, no problem.
