Alternators are interchangable, B13 DE distributors are used with VEs frequently as long as the external coil & power transistor are used. VE distributors have the internal coil, resistor and CAS all in one unit, while B14/B15 distributors have the internal coil & CAS only, external resistor. B15 distributors are a good choice because of the position of the plug which is away from the VE solenoids. Injectors are different, 259cc for DE & 333cc for VE. If you have a VE pick up for a VE oil pump I would use the VE oil pan for compatibility, not sure if the DE oil pan would clear the VE pick up. Wouldn't chance it if it was my motor.

I would have to take a look, but I think the ve/de oil pans are different
To use the de harness, the temp sensor needs to be swapped. A simple search for "ve swap" should give you answers..... Mike
