: Do You Have a Custom Fuel Rail?

I'm in the market for a custom fuel rail. I'll be running 50 lb/hr MSD injectors. I know that JWT, JGY, and FTF all make custom fuel rails. I'm just interested in some feedback from people who currently are using one of these setups. How are fit, finish, and build quality?

Thanks in Advance,
Vrux

The JGY is the FTF rail now. They are now making them on FTF's behalf.

The JWT unit is way overpriced and it is not as good as the FTF/JGY rail. The thing I especially like about the FTF rail is the fact that it uses clips that secure the injectors to the rail, whereas the JWT unit does not.

Go with the FTF/JGY. You will be veyr happy with it.

Good luck,

It seems like a lot of people like the JGY unit. I noticed the injector adapters on the web page and was impressed. I am aware of the price difference but I'm more concerned with the finished product. Thanks for your reply.

Does the JGY one fit the gti-r ***? Which one are you using Jay?

The JGY/FTF rail will not work on the GTi-R intake manifold. To use the MSD injectors with the GTi-R fuel rail, you will need to send your injectors to JWT and have them modify them on a lathe. They turn down down the ends to make them fit correctly and they also supply you will o-rings. This is what I will be using after my motor is resurrected from its hibernation :)

While we're on the topic of fuel rails. What fuel rail will the MSD 72/hr injectors fit in? TIA

To my knowledge, this is not correct. They make a rail that will accept GTi-R injectors, but the rail is only compatible with the SR20DE intake manifold.

They do not make a rail for GTi-R injectors that can be used on the GTi-R intake manifold. If they do make a rail for the GTi-R motor, then I will be buying one for sure.

The guy Laser made his own custom fuel rail for his Gti-r. Regarless couldnt the RC eng find a 525cc inj. that fits? That what I was led to believe, *** its not the pintle feed that JWT is used to programing.

JGY/FTF DO make a rail for the GTi-R injectors and that fits on the GTi-R motor. I think i am the first one to get the rail. Well i havent gotten it yet but they are fabricating it now and i should have it in a few weeks (shipping is a bitch and i live in the Cayman Islands)

Why not just use a stock gtir rail? It looks disgusting...thats my main reason for changing it. And besides which would you rather when trying to make reliable power, an aluminum fuel rail with braided line and an aeromotive fpr or the stock rail, fpr and rubber lines?

Can we please stay on topic? I'm not looking for opinions and other people's ideas. I would like to hear from individuals that currently are using a modified fuel rail and their experience with one of the companies mentioned initially.

I fitted my JWT fuel rail with 72lb injectors with aeromotive fpr onto a gtir intake you need to make custom brackets, need a grinder, i had to cut the linkage well the piece the cable goes on to and shorten it so the rail can clear it when you hit the gas. Im assuming the JGY one is basicaly the same as JWT so that one could probably be made to fit as well.

The FTF fuel rail is the way to go. If you decide to get it, get it through JGY himself. I ordered mine through Apex Motorsports, and they sent me a fuel rail kit minus the kit (no hose, brackets or anything). When JGY found out that i was missing pieces, he shipped out the pieces i needed 2-day delivery.

another question: is it recommended to clean out the fuel rail before installing and, if so, how?
