Can the SR20ve head bolt up to a red top SR20de (comes in the European Primera) without changing to 20ve pistons?

I THINK the Red Top 20de comes with 10:1 CR (even though I heard its' 10.5:1). Can someone please verify?

Yes you can bolt the VE head to a redtop DE but you have to use the stock 20VE cams for clearance with the flat top pistons. UK redtop anyway, it's a 10:1 motor. You need an external oil feed to the VE head to activate the cams.

what about for turbo pistons, do you need to retain the 20ve cams?
