Hi guys,
i recently installed my JWT ecu, which i had it programmed for my S4 cams my 10.5.1 pistons and my n60 maf. I also installed the MAF the same day with the ecu, and im having problems when starting the engine cold, when I start the engine it runs but if i dont keep the gas pedal pushed it just die.

But this is only when the engine is cold, with the engine hot it idles as supposed with no problems.

Any idea why is this happening to me?
What should i fix?

Ill try to upload some excel sheets with the values of the sensors taken with ecutalk later on.

Thanks

1st the car should be able to be started when it is dead cold without touching the gas pedal. Actually the car should always start without touching the gas pedal no matter what temperature the motor is.

If it won't do that then I suspect the IACV air regulator. If this is not opening then the car will not idle properly when it is cold but will idle fine when it it warmed up. It takes maybe 5 minutes before the car will idle when it is cold. On a highport this is the part under the manifold with 2 hoses running to it.

Thanks 4 ur reply,

But the car idle was ok when I was using a either the G20 or the Stock Ecu with the stock maf, the problem presented to me when I changed the MAF for the N60 and the ECU for the JWT. If the IACV or the ARV where wrong or damaged, I think that the problem would presented to me before.

My guess is that the N60 MAF is taking longer to warm up, but there should be some kind of fix to this, more when the ecu was supposed to be configured to use this MAF.

I also have a SAFC 2 connected to the ECU, hotwire 04 - 04 .

Any other toughts are welcome.
Thanks

Did you ever get this figured out? I just put my N60 on yesterday, and while mine runs great on the road and under load, it just doesn't idle for crap. I don't have my wideband installed yet to check my AFR's at idle. I tried adjusting my idle screw this mroning, didn't seem to help much, a little bit... but it still bogs way down and tries to die. Any help would be appreciated!

Edit: I am using a Calum Basic ECU - just for the record. So if anyone thinks I should tweak anything here or there I can easily do it, unlike a JWT.
