i was planning a ve swap into my b13 last summer, but decided against it since we moved to a new house. well, i decided to plan the swap again since i just smogged the car two months ago, and finally saw a ve with my own two eyes. i came up with a price estimate for everything i'm going to need. if i am missing anything, let me know.

sr20ve engine - $950 shipped
n60 maf - ~$50 shipped
summit racing vvl activators - ~$60
ecu base map chip from calum - ~$7

i already have a calum basic ecu from when i was turbo, so i will just need a new chip from calum. also have a 3" vrs exhaust and an ssac 2.5" header. if everything turns out good, may hop on board to a better header. b13 currently has a fidanza flywheel and will be running on an exedy stock replacement clutch.

Header will work fine, just have to grind the flange holes to raise it up a little higher to match the exh. ports.
b13 dist to replace ve one [easier for parts/no harness issues ]
Personally.....
Replaced the front and rear seals
water pump
p/s pump
new clutch
tranny axle seals
vlv cover gasket
Because these maybe questionable, and are a pita once the motor is installed

Have fun!!!!!! Mike

okay, got a chance to buy an sr20ve longblock with just the intake manifold. so it is missing the alternator, starter, flywheel, and powersteering pump. i'm almost certain i can use everything from my de motor on it, but is there anything else i will need that that certain engine is missing? they sent me some pics, and it looks like the camshaft lobes may be rusted. under the valve cover looks pretty clean though. i'm just waiting for a response from them.
