WD-40 should take off any residue left over from the adhesive.
If it doesn't work, any crafts type store (Michael's etc...) should carry some type of adhesive removal liquid.

any type of orange cleaner will work good. it eats up the adhesive but doesnt harm the surface.

Goo Gone works miracles (orange). Under $3 at walmart.

I used a paint cleaner (made for cars) followed by a wax after I removed my pinstripes.

Try lots and lots hand cleaner (without the rough stuff) and a rag.
I use that stuff on my laundry too. Who needs Tide when you got Goo!

DIRTEX Aerosol Glass Cleaner. It'll dissolve the glue on contact and won't leave any residue. Plus you can use it to clean your glass as well. Tint shops use it to remove the glue when taking old tint off. It also makes short work of getting cigarette smoke residue off of glass, which is damn near impossible with regular glass cleaners.
