Ever since I put new struts on my NX the front of the car is too high. Very noticeable. Look like a jet on take-off. Any ideas why. How can I get it back down. Looks about an inch and a half too high. Looks really stupid. the rear is good, the front too high. Thanks, Bobster

Maybe you got b14 fronts?
They are slightly longer.

That kinda makes sense. I bought the Gabriel shocks off Ebay a couple years ago. I noticed the height change as soon as they were installed. Could not figure it out. I just bought some 16" Konieg Feather wheels and want to get it fixed. Does anyone know how I would measure the struts to verify the problem. I figure the length difference would be from the lower spring perch to the lower strut where it bolts to the spindle. Can some one give me a precise measurement to check. Maybe I could look at a shock for both cars at autozone or Advance auto. Is the B-14 a certain year Sentra? What model number is used for the NX2000? Thanks for the help.

B14 struts have the spring perch mounted further up from the hub assembly bolt bracket ;)

NX is a B13 Sentra, B14 is the later model(95 onwards etc)

I went by Autozone and measured a shock that was for my car. From where the spring perch was welded to the shock tub to the nd of the tube was about 8 inches and the ones on my car measured the same. Not sure what is going on here. Help anyone?

B14 is 95-99.

I think we may be on to something here:squint:

Years ago,I also ordered a set of Gabriel struts off ebay for a nx1600, I think..They sat around for a while,and I sold them to my friend..."Tearoffguy" (who purchsed the nx1600:D)
When he installed them...It looked ready to blastoff:eek2::rofl:
We have been trying to figure it out ever since.
He says he watched the guy install them one by one and they are definately in the correct location on the car.
Then recently I have been searching about B14 suspension,and came across some info that says some guys use B13 fronts on their lowered B14s because they are slightly shorter.

B14 shocks are normally cheaper and a lot of people think they are interchangeable so buy the cheaper shock and sell it for the B13 price ;)
