u gonna pick it up in cali or what? your definetly right sbout the car and process it takes... beautiful car, i personally saw it months back at gspeed when he wanted $8k plus..... miles are a little high for my liking but definetly worth it... car is between nearmint-mint!!!
I will condsider if car is available in a month or so!

thanks for the :biggthump feedback...iam far from a shady person..lol..the mileage is pretty fair considering the age of the car..

clown..move to the US and then you can see the BS we have to go threw to get these cars ,and the even more BS to get a state to even issue a title for one of these cars. Then you can see how a 2k$ car in japan turn out to be at the end of the day a 10K$ car

I asked thes questions b/C Im trying to broker one for a freind in Michigan. If I can get one in the sates instead of bringing it from Canada I will do so... Also this car is within his budget. The "sold the motor for a quick buck" comment was used to arise a defence and for the seller to give a lengthy explanation. Which he did. Now I have an idea of the history ETC.

Also I know what a Pita it is to import JDM stuff to the states b/c I do it all the time!

and p.s. up until last year importing any car younger than 15 years Into Canada was just as difficult. If you want details goto

the only reason they pull the motor out is so they could bring it to the u.s as a "kit car" its just easer that way i dont think its shady at all...

you are 70% incoorect on your info.

Kit car is a term used with the state regarding titling, that has nothing to do with importing. The Gtrs being seized were only cars that the company Kaizo imported and sold.Kaizo was taking the cars apart, and importing the parts which was 100% legal.what they did after was not, they were putting the same motor back in(meaning the motor they took out in japan whent back into the car in the US)the thing that got the feds pissed off was,he was then advertising he converted parts and made them DOT legal.which he never did,he made up a new vin(which can only be made if you set your self up as a manufacturer,he never did) and had Dustin westberry in tampa title the cars.He was advertising every where his cars are 100% legal, blah, blah, blah.here is the 1 min compressed version of the kaizo fiasco

after tuning three of these in Panama and dynoing another one here, I would certainly pick it up if I had the shams.

I bought my '93 GTi-R from GSpeed a few years ago and I wasn't happy working with them at all. I paid $6500 for a complete car and it was in running/driveable condition when I flew out to get it. (though I wasn't too impressed with the guy that put the car together. He could install the entire drivetrain but couldn't figure out the reason the wipers weren't working was because the wiper linkage wasn't connected to the wiper motor????) Not even a week later, the car developed a rod knock and they wouldn't help me out with it a single bit, even though they say they offer a "warranty" on their engines.
