: In need of help with sc61'ed b13
se-rated r 01-21-2010, 12:59 PM i have a 94 b13 se-r. i'm in need of guidance in a few areas. personally i think its a basic setup but i would like to replace some things. i have a sc-61 turbo, nismo fpr, walbro fuel pump, sr20det engine, msd 72 lb injectors, a jwt ecu.
i plan on doing away with the fuel pump, ecu, and injectors and would like to know what route should i take to get this setup up and running reliably. any help will be appreciated..
morgans432 01-21-2010, 01:34 PM you cant have a reliable car with no ecu, injectors and fuel pump...
Seriously this is the same exact setup I have on my car minus the jwt bullcrap ecu
skcusloa 01-21-2010, 01:39 PM What do you mean running reliably? It should be doing ok right now. Nothing wrong with any of the parts you mentioned. (though some people don't like jwt tunes) I don't think you have much of an option with the fuel pump, besides getting a different tank and some aftermarket fuel pump.
If it's not running good right now, it's something you need to figure out before throwing parts at it.
se-rated r 01-22-2010, 03:10 AM first of all it would not run right with a NISMO fpr! So i replaced the stock fpr, and to my surprise it leveled off. that jwt ecu have been a headache since day one. i drove to wilmington and burnt about fifthy dollars in gas@ hour drive) but on the way back only burnt twenty five! wtf!!! i have a uk engine with only about 30k miles on it and was thinking about turboing it, and rebuilding the current sr20det. i would like to know *** ignition setup should i go with, keep the same fuel pump, *** ecu, and anything else or just try to get it running consistently with these items?

msd injectors are supposed to run at 3 bar so thats why the stock fpr fixed the problem.
morgans432 01-22-2010, 11:49 AM you need to sell the car right now and drive a stock de
se-rated r 01-22-2010, 12:28 PM dont think im going to take that advice......lol
se-rated r 01-22-2010, 12:41 PM i only have roughly 6k invested in the car and thats purchasing:
two b13 se-r's
sr20det bluebird
uk sr20de
fidanza flywheel
z32 mafs
two transmissions
msd 72 lbs injectors
jwt ecu...i know right
precision sc-61
redtop battery
protech log manifold
turbonectis deltagate wastegate
k-sport coilovers
two sets or b14 wheels
racing seats
b & m shifter
walbro fuel pump...ugghh
nx1600 gauge cluster
greddy boost controller and turbo timer
etc....
and plenty of other parts not mentioned. i want to do away with the jwt crap, msd injectors, purchase another fuel pump, was thinking about the msd sci unit, selling wastegate,
B14 Se-Rious 01-22-2010, 08:40 PM You need to install the 370s and stock ecu. buy a calum ecu and install it and set it up for the 370cc. Make sure you get comfortable with the calum ecu.
Drive to a dyno stay out of boost, and outside, install your 72lb injectors and have them instantly tune your ecu on the dyno.
Dont install multiple things at once, it makes it more difficult to figure out whats causing a problem.
se-rated r 01-23-2010, 06:17 AM Is this *** you did to your setup?
scrildo 01-23-2010, 07:30 PM If you want reliability then do not go the standalone route keep yout JWT and run an safc or something.
Yellow4g63 01-25-2010, 08:14 AM SE-Rated if you know how to tune then shoot for the Nistune board and software. If not try Emance he does custom rom tunes and pretty good at it if your not confident in tuning.
Cliff 01-25-2010, 11:23 AM I agree with scrildo. Keep everything, and just get an SAFC to fine tune the JWT. Pretty simple.
se-rated r 01-31-2010, 02:16 PM that i will do! thanx for all the info fellas! so the apexi neo is the best choice correct or i cud just settle for the safc? one more question *** tranny is lsd from the g20?
