anybody have any opinions on getting a stillen cold air intake vs a place racing cold air intake..besides the 70bucks what more does the stillen have to offer besides the name..
i called up stillen last week and the guy told me that the cold air intake produces a much flatter torque curve than the warm air intake.. anybody have any thoughts?

waste of money,.. just have it custom made.. or get a PRI or HS, member its not stillen its STEALEN

also, the stillen cai does not come with a pipe that goes from the throttle body to *** MAF. it just comes with a tube that goes from the MAF to the fenderwell and a k&n filter.

no bro. the stillen cai uses the factory rubber pipe. ya know. that black plastic tube that goes from the throttle body to the MAF sensor. don't buy it. all you will get is the tube that connects to the from the MAF to the inner fenderwell.

so should i get the place racing or hotshot cold air intake..the only difference between them is a foam filter vs a k&n style..rite?

get the place racing. dyno proven and i think cheaper. and get the K&N anything else is crap

i am the poster child for HS, so naturally i'm gonna go w/ them as being a lil' better. granted the PR unit is roughly $20 dollars cheaper, but HS is supporting our niche and always improving their designs. heck they're even making stuff for the new se-r's! whether you choose PR, AEM or HS...just don't waste yer hard earned $$$ on an excuse of a CAI that $tillen is peddling!

Now that Place racing is no longer shipping with the K+N or even a K+N copy (as most people use) I think it is a toss up. I would consider the HS if it actually has a real K+N. Otherwise get the PR and replace the cheap filter for a real K+N. Does anyone know that the HS is actually a real K+N or is it some imatation stuff.

they sent me a cheap Matrix filter. if you hold it up to the light, you can almost see right through it. i guess it doesn't filter well.

so i should go wiht the hotshot intake? how much do they cost and who can i get one from?

most import shops can order 'em. you can also check w/ sr20development, JWT, mossy performance or motivational engineering.

I heard that the AEM cai makes the most HP

that has yet to be proven on a back to back INDEPENDENT dyno. hopefully adam and i can do that around the end of october.

from what I have heard, the hotshot CAI does not fit very well and the MAF adaptor is not very good. This is just what i have heard, but it was from many people

what about injen cai... I bought one for $200
should i get rid of it and get a PR or HS?

well, that link is to a dyno sheet. hopefully not your dyno results. if so, man you need a tune up...bad!

looks like the same design aand diameter as a HS or PR unit. i would just stick with what you got.

no sorry thats is the dyno results for the intake ..
i got the chart off the injen box it came in ....they say they dyno every intake and post it on the box....
